In light traffic you can expect a travel time of 25 minutes from the airport to Hotel Monaco.
There is no direct flight from Nassau to Pittsburgh, but you can get here with American Airlines in a little over 5 hours with only one connection.
If you're driving in, plan ahead for tolls and parking. Parking at the hotel can get costly.
If you are looking at AirBnB options, be sure to ask about parking options. Many homes only have street parking. Welcome to city life!
Pittsburgh is a big city, so parking Downtown can be a scavenger hunt, but there are options.
Downtown street meters hours are Monday–Saturday 8a.m.–6p.m. and lots are Monday–Saturday 8a.m.–10p.m.
Parking is free on Sundays and after 6p.m. Monday through Saturday at metered, on-street spots in Downtown.
At Hotel Monaco, valet parking is $43 per vehicle with in + out privileges for up to 24 hours. Event valet parking is offered based upon availability ranging from $15-$28.
Mellon Square Garage is a one-minute walk from Hotel Monaco and is a fraction of the cost of valet. Visit their website for more information on their parking rates and directions to the garage.
Downtown Pittsburgh is very walkable, but if you want to see more of the city, rideshares are the most convenient option.
Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout the city.
Taxis are still available, but are a less popular option.
We highly recommend renting a car if you want to see all the city has to offer and would rather not wait on an Uber/Lyft.
